Honeywell FSL100-TL Test Lamp

The Honeywell FSL100-TL Test Lamp is a rechargeable, handheld IR and UV radiation source designed for testing Honeywell FSL100 series flame detectors in safe (non-hazardous) areas. It has an effective testing range of approximately 4 metres (13 ft) and is supplied with a universal charger and custom carrying case.

Operation

Testing is typically performed by two people—one at the flame detector and another at the controller. Additional fire-watch personnel may be required while alarms are inhibited.

• Inhibit or isolate all affected relay outputs before testing.
• Aim the test lamp at the flame detector from approximately 4 m (13 ft).
• Operate the lamp for approximately 30 seconds and verify that the alarm activates correctly.
• Do not operate the lamp continuously for more than 1 minute.
• Reset the alarm before testing the next detector.
• Allow at least 30 seconds between tests for the lamp to cool down.
