General Monitors TL105 Test Lamp

The General Monitors TL105 Test Lamp is a rechargeable, battery-operated test lamp designed for testing General Monitors UV, UV/IR, and IR flame detectors. It generates high-energy ultraviolet and infrared radiation with selectable flashing patterns to simulate real fire conditions and verify detector operation.

Operation

The TL105 automatically flashes at various selectable rates to simulate different fire conditions. A rotary selector allows the correct test pattern to be chosen for specific General Monitors flame detectors, enabling alarm or test mode activation.

Construction

The test lamp features an explosion-proof cast aluminium housing suitable for hazardous locations. It operates using rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries that provide up to 30 minutes of continuous operation on a full charge. A built-in protection circuit prevents operation when battery charge is low.
