The Drager Polytron EX is now obsolete the equivalents to the Polytron EX are Polytron 5200 CLICK, Polytron 5310 CLICK, Polytron 8200 CLICK and Polytron 8310 CLICK.

Drager Polytron Ex was a continuous monitor of combustible gases and vapours using a poison resistant catalytic bead sensor and delivered a proportional 4-20mA industry standard output relative to gas concentration. Gas readings were measured using the Lower Explosive Limit.

Two options were available 0 to 10 %LEL, low concentration (LC) good for advanced notification or leak detection applications. Or 0-100% LEL default setting. The transmitter was designed for harsh industrial applications. Approved for use in Zone One and Two areas.

• Electrical supply Input 10 to 30 V DC (nominal 24 V DC).
• Housing IP65, glass-fibre reinforced polyester (GRP).
• For hard to access areas remote sensor option.
• LC-display and calibration elements located at the front were intrinsically safe.
• No additional zener barrier was necessary.
• Flameproof.
• Ingress protection IP65.
