Drager Polytron 8310 IR

The Polytron 8310 is a fixed Flammable gas detector with an infrared IR sensor. Measuring range 0 to 100% LEL. Explosion and flameproof suitable for use in hazardous zones. It is an advanced detector within the Polytron range. The sensor is poison resistant which increases the operational life in comparison to catalytic flammable sensors, bringing lifelong stability without failures.

The transmitter features an array of digital outputs HART®, PROFIBUS® PA, FOUNDATION fieldbus™ H1 and Modbus RTU enabling communication with modern controllers and building management systems. Analogue 4-20mA three wire signal out is also provided.

The Polytron 8310 IR can be calibrated specifically for Methane or Propane or Ethylene monitoring. During operation the gas readings are displayed along with the Red, Yellow and Green status lights. With Green displayed the area is safe for entry.

There are four standard models. E models are easy to set up within a zoned area as a Docking Station is supplied. D models are supplied without the Docking Station. Both D and E models have 3 relay versions so the unit can act as a full gas monitoring area device.

• Electrical supply 10 to 30 V DC, 3-wire.
• Detector housing Epoxy coated copper-free aluminium standard or stainless steel SS316 L as custom option.
• Data logging is a standard feature.
