The Dräger Polytron 8200 CAT is a continuous fixed gas monitor for flammable gases, utilising a catalytic bead sensor, designed to provide long-term zero stability, fast reaction times, and a long service life, thereby reducing the costs of ownership. The DD sensor’s measuring range is 0 to 100% LEL; there is also a low concentration option (LC), ranging from 0 to 10% LEL.
Compatibility with most control systems is possible. Outputs include a three-wire 4-20mA signal and support for Hart, Modbus, and Fieldbus protocols. The Dräger Polytron 8200 CAT also provides data logging, which is used to record readings and retrieve past event information. Approved for use in hazardous areas, a magnetic wand facilitates the operation of the transmitter without the need to open the face, eliminating the need to declassify an area.
If required, a remote sensor can be installed at a maximum distance of 30 meters from the transmitter. Calibration can be performed by a lone worker at the transmitter.
Order Information
The E model includes a docking station, eliminating the need for conduit during installation in zoned areas. D versions have no docking station. Versions are available with three relays, allowing the detector to operate as a standalone system.
