The PEX 3000 is a fixed gas detector for flammable gas. Suitable for use in explosive gas atmospheres and explosive dust atmospheres (Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22). The detector has two measuring range versions of 0-100%LEL and 0-10%LEL. Both are available in small or medium-size housing. A remote option, transmitter only (no sensor), is available with the same housing options, meaning six models are in the PEX 3000 range.

The sensors installed are Drager’s DD type, designed for fast response and enabled by a mesh inlet design that detects a hazard before a potentially explosive atmosphere is generated. The PEX 3000 models XTR 0010 and XTR 0011 are equipped with a low drift LC sensor, making them suitable for low-concentration or leak detection applications.

The power requirement for installation is 12 to 30 v DC. The medium housing variants have entries for horizontal or vertical cables. Spring EX-approved terminations connect the controller and sensor. To perform maintenance and calibration, you can open the Ex e junction box in a hazardous area. You can perform many activities using the two internal push buttons and the internal seven-segment digital display, including one-person calibration. No additional hardware is required, e.g. a handheld terminal.
